Hi Marc,

I was visiting from Chicago this past weekend and one of my friends
suggested go dancing to the famous t-dance. I have to tell you, was by
far my best time in years, what a great selection of music!!! and you
took me to memoryland.

I just wonder if you could tell me where and what version of The
Visitors-ABBA you played, sounds pretty much like "I love my radio (My
Midnight Radio) intro...

Just hoping dance again in Fort Lauderdale!!!

Be safe and please keep rocking!

Christian

Dear Russ and Chris,

My name is Andy Kahn. My partner Bruce Cahan and I come to Steel for Jackhammer T-Dance with Marc Scott every Sunday night whenever we visit Ft Lauderdale. We've been here for the last two Sunday nights. As usual, the music was off-the-wall great! This is OUR music and Marc Scott is the man who plays it in this city. Sundays at Steel are something we look forward to when we're here. It's a fun night of dancing and carrying on, like in the days of our past, when everything was fun in the clubs, the music was unsurpassed, and only good times happened. The spirit Marc invests into his artistry is obviously contagious to that party atmosphere on Sundays nights. What a blast!

My partner and I lived through the best of the 1970's disco years. We always look for clubs throughout the world where we can relive those exciting times. Sunday night Jackhammer at Steel is just that atmosphere. Everyone is having the best time, on or off the dance floor. We find the crowd to be extraordinarily friendly with little or no attitude. Younger guys in search of older ones to meet have no problem at Steel on Sundays. And the reverse is also true. There's something rewarding about a happy, musically charged dance floor that makes the whole party atmosphere contagious. Everyone gets it! A fabulous night when we all can come together, dance all night to incredible music played by Marc Scott, and leave with only one regret - we have to wait for the next Sunday when we can return and do it all over again!

I am the writer and producer of "Hot Shot" by Karen Young, a Number One disco song for which I received a gold record in 1978. In one week, I am re-releasing that song with Karen's original vocal track intact on five new re-mixes. Marc generously offered to play it this past Sunday, working it perfectly into his musical set around 11:30. It was great to see so many dancers packed on the dance floor who knew the song, sang along with the lyrics and reacted positively to this piece of classic disco history, soon to heard on dance floors once again. It fits right into an already thrilling night of fantastic music, all provided by Marc's intuition of what the crowd wants on Sunday nights at Steel. You should all be very proud having Marc share his talent with you at Steel. He understands what makes the crowd scream. That is evident to us every time we've come to Jackhammer nights, both at Steel and at the original Jackhammer location. And we're screaming and dancing right along with everybody else at this ongoing, fabulous party each Sunday.

Thanks for providing our community such a terrific venue and musical experience on Sundays in Fort Lauderdale. And thanks again for appreciating the talent that Marc Scott brings to this experience every week. Unforgettable!!

hi mark (i think that is the right name...!?)

i just need to let you know how great the tdance was last night!! pointer sisters “jump” and all those 80s were just awesome! jump in particular has this super 80s rhythm which is fun to dance to. i definitely will be back this sunday again. a long drive from coral gables but it is worth it. no other club i’ve been to lately plays anything like it, especially 80s.

how about natalie cole’s “pink cadillac” for this weeks tdance? or donna allen “serious”! i would absolutely freak out!!

thanks so much again! you’re just awesome.

I'm a high school teacher in Ft Lauderdale.  I have today off, so I went out to dance last night.  I enjoyed your dj immensely.  What is his name?  Does he have a contact address for a "Thanks"?

If not, tell him "thanks" for me.  The club was friendly, and the music was great.  What a crystal clear sound system you have!  Is it something new, or was I just under the influence of too many vodka tonics?

And yours was the first bar in a long time to have the dj welcome everyone from out of town to Ft. Lauderdale.  You'd think that would be a given in clubs down here, but no.

A local that loves the town,
Charles
